Daily Drawing for Sept 14.
It’s been a few days since the last DD. I’ve been working on a larger piece for a CG Hub Drawing Jam, and also on some military projects.
Here’s a quick hand sketch I did. I’m trying to accelerate my hand drawing skills. They’re one of those complex, angular shapes that everyone knows by sight. I’m trying to keep the hand drawings under 5 minutes so that I can learn to capture the angular relationships quicker and more accurately.
This was initially sketched in only a few seconds. The shading took maybe 2 or three minutes.

My solution to drawing hands and feet, is to put hands behind a back and feet in the high grass. This is good; Is graphic art easier or harder than with just a regular pen or pencil — or is that the point of a 3-D tablet…sort of the same? I’ve not opened mine yet. Just chicken!
