I like working from values, but I need to work more on accurate shadow transitions. I work well using just the hard brush and mixing values, but getting those soft transitions and hard transitions to work together is a definite struggle. I went for “ephemeral” on this one, and I think it shows. A bit of texture was added with a 1px soft brush around the eye and snout, and the stippling effect was achieved by selecting the airbrush option on the brush panel. Enjoy.
