In the military, high ranking officers and enlisted frequently have challenge coins made, which they give to soldiers who have gone above and beyond their duties. It’s an unofficial way to say thanks for a job well done. I’ve had the opportunity to design & construct a lot of off-the-wall projects, but most have been for friends, family or fellow “creative” types.
