10 reasons to keep designing
Designers don’t have to burn out! In the six years since I began this design business, I’ve come across a lot of reasons to quit designing. People burn out for lots of reasons: designer’s block, long hours, lack of clients, too many clients, and of course – client-zillas. In the military, high ranking officers and enlisted frequently have challenge coins made, which they give to soldiers who have gone above and beyond their duties. It’s an unofficial way to say thanks for a job well done. A good friend, who I met while he was working as a translator for NATO, approached me to design his father’s book cover. His father, Xhavit Kryeziu, helped solidify disparate Albanian dialects into a singular, standardized language in the 1960′s and 70′s, and his most recent book is a collection of articles he wrote from that time period.
